Elevating queer themes and storytelling through dance
“Unstoppable: A Queer Dancical” was developed through a collaboration between Dare to Dance Seattle, a nonprofit providing professional-quality opportunities for dance enthusiasts of all ages to create and perform, and Green Carpet Studio, an independent production company. Creatively, the show is a natural extension of the 12 full-length dance shows previous curated by Dare to Dance Seattle, which always had a focus on collaboration and storytelling.

Queer-Centered
This is an unapologetically queer-themed story that celebrates the power and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community. Inspired by real events, the plot weaves together love stories, community activism, and political drama during an election season.
Locally Grown
Written and directed by local artist Zheng Wang, this world premiere production features a predominantly queer cast of talented actors and dancers. 12 local choreographers contributed to the choreography, which covers a wide range of dance styles such as jazz, contemporary, disco, and shuffle.
Hits-Fueled
“Unstoppable” is also a pop dancical, where most of the songs are famous hits that you know and love. The playlist of 24 songs is populated by superstars including RuPaul, Britney Spears, Pink, Rihanna, Macklemore, James Bay, and more.
